First up is Katharine Hepburn, and not because she is the oldest. She was born here in Connecticut and even retired in Old Saybrook. Her acting credits are long and well spoken-for.

Okay, maybe Katharine Hepburn isn’t the oldest, since Henry Ward Beecher was born in the 1800s, and is famous for his activism for women’s suffrage and abolition. He also published books, and was sent personally by President Lincoln at the time to advocate for the Union during the Civil War.

Michael Bolton is a famous rock singer and songwriter, to make things a little more modern. He still lives in Connecticut and was born in New Haven.
